Parent Information on Universal Screeners (MAP and mCLASS)
In Hays CISD, we use a universal screener, such as MAP Growth and mCLASS, to determine what the student knows and is ready to learn next. The assessment information will support teachers in knowing the instructional areas in which students have grown and are ready to learn.
NWEA MAP Growth Testing Information

mCLASS Testing Information
mCLASS is an all-in-one system for Science of Reading-based universal screening, dyslexia screening, and progress monitoring. Powered by DIBELS® 8th Edition, mCLASS helps teachers measure and strengthen the foundational skills that all students need to become confident readers.
