SMART Tag

Hays CISD uses the Secured Mobility Authorized Ridership Technology (SMART) tag system for all students who ride the bus to and from school. Using their district-provided RIFD enabled ID card, students badge on and off buses. Through a smart phone app, parents have instant and important information about their child's bus including a tracking feature and the option to set up notification alerts for things like bus delays.
