Hays CISD Clear Bag Requirement

Hays CISD values your safety and the safety of guests at events. To provide a more secure environment and to expedite entry into Shelton Stadium, the district has implemented a clear bag requirement, limiting the size and types of bags allowed at the stadium during games and events. This requirement stemmed from recommendations made by the district’s safety and security committee. Guests attempting to enter a venue with nonconforming bags will be asked to return the items to their vehicles.

Approved Bags

Bags allowed in Hays CISD high school athletic venues, including Shelton Stadium are:

♦ Clear Tote Bags
♦ 1-Gallon Plastic Freezer Bags
♦ Clear Bags with a Logo (sold by schools, school districts, campus booster clubs or student groups)
♦ Small Clutch Purses (smaller than 5.5" x 8.5")
♦ Wallets

Exceptions will be made for:

♦ Bags and Cases for Medically Necessary Items
♦ News Media Equipment Bags (for credentialed news media)
♦ Official Team and Other Field Photographers (must be credentialed and enter at the EAST gate)

- All bags are subject to inspection prior to entry. 
- Student groups involved with an event are allowed to bring in equipment bags when entering with their team or group, in uniform, and with the director or coach.
- Booster clubs selling items during events need to have all merchandise and supplies inside the stadium gates prior to the stadium opening to the public.

Bags not allowed in Hays CISD high school athletic venues, including Shelton Stadium are:

Backpacks
Purses
Camera Cases
Mesh Bags
Fanny Packs
Binocular Cases
Printed Pattern or Tinted Plastic Bags or Totes
Folding Chair Bags
